MALCOLM CHISHOLM
Malcolm Chisholm is an internationally recognized thought leader in the broader data industry. Originally from the UK, Malcolm is based in the US and has been providing data-related consulting services globally for 30 years. He holds the prestigious DAMA Lifetime Achievement Award for contributions to reference data management and master data management. Malcolm is a frequent speaker at data-related conferences and frequently writes on data-related topics. He is the author of three books on the topics of Reference Data, Business Rules Engines, and Definitions.
Malcolm has built many data governance units from the ground up in organizations spanning a variety of industries. He has led the successful deployment and implementation of a number of data catalogs from different vendors to provide solutions for a wide variety of governance needs. In conjunction with these projects, he has been heavily involved in change management and communication activities and developing data policies and standards. On a more technical front, Malcolm has worked with standing up data quality rules engines and has also developed specialized asset backed securitization rules engines used in a variety of financial institutions.
